To say that Petra, Jordan is amazing a serious understatement. Whether you’re channeling your inner Indiana Jones, brushing up on some history, or are just a desert rat at heart, this place will simply blow your mind. We’ve got some great tips for you while visiting with your family coming up soon, but for now a little eye candy to get you dreaming of a visit to this majestic stone city:
WOW!
When I was searching for sea turtles in the Red Sea, I saw your website, and I was like WOW!!! I didn’t know that you made a website. I do like the pictures of your adventures shown in your website.
Hi. I’m taking my 5 year old son to Jordan this May. If you wouldn’t mind, I need some advice! How long did you go? Did you use a guide? Travel agency? We aren’t quite as adventurous as your gang but I want to make sure he has a good time.
Thanks!
We were there for a week on 2 different occasions. Jordan is pretty easy to travel around, however, the drivers are a little crazy and roads in Amman can get confusing. We drove ourselves, but I know that many people opt for getting a driver to take care of things. I would say try and assess how you do driving in strange places and if it’s really stressful, outsource that part. We have found that guided tours don’t work well with our kids as they usually want to spend way more or less time at specific sites than a guide usually wants. We’ve found that doing a lot of research before hand and a few good books works well for us.
